Object history Mit der Vogtei Ahn waren im 13. Jahrhundert die Vasallen von Brobergen von dem Grafen von Hoya belehnt. Um diese geschichtliche Tatsache zu unterstreichen, wurden hier die Bärentatzen aus dem gräflichen Wappen übernommen. Das grüne Blatt der Leberblume deutet auf das unter Landschaftsschutz stehende Nordahner Gehölz hin, wo diese sehr seltene Pflanze noch vorkommt.
