Hello, at www.insecte.org ( https://www.insecte.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=8418&hilit=8853 ) they argue that for Dicranocephalus albipes the second antennal segment is at the base and most of its length white. This does not match with this image. So this bug is a different species of Dicranocephalus.--Slimguy (talk) 17:55, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's very possible but I need a confirmation. In this summer period it should take several weeks. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 13:21, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm moving these wikidata captions here because they are arguing about the ID and thus are not suitable for captions: --Exonie (talk) 23:11, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Erroneous identification : this picture show a Dicranocephalus agilis rather than D.albipes"
"Image mal identifiée : Dicranocephalus albipes n'aurait pas d'anneau noir au milieu du 2eme article anténnaires ni de boursouflures entre les nervure de la membrane, il s'agit plutôt ici de Dicranocephalus agilis"

As mentioned, this is clearly not D.albipes. An additional character is that the membrane of D.albipes is smooth between the veins while this one has "bumps" between the veins. It's most likely Dicranocephalus agilis, although D.medius is also very similar and rostrum length is the best character to separate them. --Exonie (talk) 23:11, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
