I have a rambler and we aren't sure what year it is. has the same body as ambassador but single head lights and no tire rack and says rambler across the grill and rear. could you help me on information about year and show picts? —Preceding unsigned comment was added by 12.202.191.62 (talk) 18:32, 23 March 2012 (UTC) (UTC)[reply]

The Ambassador was the "upmarket" and more luxurious model. You may have a 1957 or 1958 Rambler. A few states did not yet allow the new "quad" (one high/low and one high-beam 5 and 3/4 inch sealed beams on each side) arrangement until 1958, thus the 1957 cars sold in those markets were built with two 7-inch headlamps. Moreover, the 1958 Rambler Super models continued to have single headlights with the dual headlights offered as optional equipment.
