Probably Wrong Declaration

In my opinion this picture does not show an ambrotype, but probably a daguerreotype. Its dark character which is normally typical for ambrotypes, in this case probably just results of a too short exposure or a proceeding mistake. If one looks at the picture at its great size presentation, signs of oxydation can be seen along the shape of the passepartout, which are absolutely untypical for ambrotypes, but often found on daguerrotypes. --Remirus (talk) 11:46, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
