Better Image Sources[edit]

This is an extremely poor black and white (not even grayscale) scan.

The black blob at the top of the page, that looks like it might be a seal or something, isn't even part of the original document but just something introduced in the scanning/copying process.

The Dutch national archive "het Geheugen van Nederland" (the Memory of the Netherlands) has a page for the treaty that has a much better 1,200 x 1,712 grayscale scan.

This source of this image is Spaarnestad Photo - who have the photo available as a 2,483 x 3,543 grayscale image.

It might be worth contacting them to see what the license conditions are for the image, whether it is still under copyright at all, and whether it could be used on Wikipedia.

Getty also have a much better scan, with the plus that one can see the top and left edges of the page (the Dutch image has been cropped so one just sees the text and signatures).

See their grayscale 2,529 x 3,300 image #3427332.

Under normal terms the Getty image would be extremely expensive to license.

Surely a better useable image can be found to replace the current image that looks like a 10th generation photo copy?
