Are there any sources for this map? there are no general histories which show that Ayutthaya ever extended over Southeast Asia to the degree depicted- especially in 1605.StampyElephant (talk) 23:48, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Used three sources in revamping this map.

[edit]

I primarily reworked the map primarily based on Chris Baker and Pasuk Phongpaichit's "A History of Ayutthaya: Siam In the Early Modern World", alongside Victor Lieberman's "Strange Parallels in Southeast Asia (Vol. I)" and David Wyatt's "Thailand: A Short History (3rd Edition)". Just keep in mind that Naresuan's conquests lasted only 20 years or so

[edit]

Compared to 400+ years of Ayutthaya's existence, Naresuan's expansion was an abnormality. Just keep that in mind if you do decide to use this map to head the Ayutthaya Kingdom infobox. Yourlocallordandsavior (talk) 06:18, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
