I'm new to Wikipedia so I hope that I am in order posting this. I had a question, I am curious if anyone knows the meaning of this symbolic figure. In particular the Hebrew? Letters around the perimeter and the significance of the upside down triangle. If I recall correctly I think the pentagram was also a Christian or pagan symbol.

I am most interested in the artist and what they think about the symbolism. Is it very old, or done in Lavey's time?
