Hi! The file info on http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Charles_II_of_Spain.jpg gives "circa 1650" as date of the painting. But according to his wiki site, Charles II was born in 1661, so the painting could not have been done in 1650. http://www.wga.hu/frames-e.html?/html/c/carreno/charles2.html also gives "c. 1650" as date of the painting, but also states that the artist, Juan Carreño De Miranda, was made court painter in 1669. Does anyone know the date when the painting was done?
