Transcription for translation[edit]

I have been trying to transcribe the poetry at the bottom of the image, so it can be translated. I have done what I could, but it still needs a native speaker to finish the transcription from Blackletter to modern script. If you can, please fix my errors, Jacqke (talk) 16:29, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ein Gelehrter schreibt: der Krieg sei hart
derhalben auch erfunden ward
hart Messing Instrument zur sach/
Weichs noch die Leut vil harter mach/
In das die Pferd haben ein dringen
das die zur schlacht gaus fröhlig springen
Josephus schreibt/ das Moses eben
hat die messing Trommet angeben/
Der gegen schreibt Plinius
Der Tyrrhenische König Priscus
hat mit Bold die aus gebracht
In Krieg ward bessers nie erbacht
A scholar writes: war is hard
that's why it was invented
hard brass instrument to sach/
will the soft people harder make/
into which the horses have penetrated
that they happily jump to the battle.
Josephus writes that Moses even
had the brass trumpet made [given]/
The one against writes Plinius
Tyrrhenian king Priscus
has brought out with Bold [trumpet?]
In war was better never dreamed of.
