this is STUPID

I agree. The only use I can see for this map would be as an example for bad infographics. --87.157.90.244 15:21, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Legend

[edit]

The legend for this map reads:

  • 5 000 000+
  • 1 000 000–5 000 000
  • 500 000–1 000 000
  • 100 000–500 000
  • 50 000–100 000
  • 10 000–50 0000
  • –10 000

but it doesn't say in which units. Square kilometers, square miles, ...? Richard 11:25, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it does say what units (square kilometers) in the description. However, that description is normally not seen when an image is used in an article, so it should be in the image as well. Richard 08:25, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Incoherence

[edit]

The Hawaian archipelago and the Kaliningrad exclave are shown dark-blue (they are part of a bigger country), however every other territory part of a bigger country (such as French guyana, New Caledonia, Curaçao, Ceuta, Isles of Man, Fiji's islands and many others) is shown as red or magenta as if it were an independent sovereign country. --46.193.66.97 20:14, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
