What is the meaning of the color location within the states? Should it be an approximate location of areas of influence of each cartel? Is there an exact link to the source of the info for this map? the linked page is the main page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrés Márquez Nava (talk • contribs) 02:42, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Andrés Márquez Nava: This is the presence of criminal organizations according to the Mexican Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP). The colors do represent presence, but still according to SHCP. The SHCP map on which this map was based was taken from a slide they showed, you can find it here. It did not relay its methodology or further information. --BaptisteGrandGrand (talk) 14:40, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@BaptisteGrandGrand: I see, thank you for the update, I will try to recreate this map with a style similar to This one or this one. Hoping to get more clarity of this resource. :) --Andrés Márquez Nava (talk) 01:31, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
