UNION OR CONFEDERATE?[edit]

Titled "Union", but described as "Confederate". Which is true? --Sandycx (talk) 16:28, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The soldier has been identified both as a Union soldier because of his belt buckle, and as a Confederate soldier wearing a looted Union belt buckle. At this time, it is impossible to know which description is correct. All we know is that he is a soldier who died in the Siege of Petersburg. We do not, and cannot, know his allegiance. As such, I have had the image renamed so that no reference to his allegiance is made. DS (talk) 13:07, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
