What you are seeing there is an engraving that has been done from an oil painting. The engraving would have been made during the 19th century, almost certainly for an encyclopedia.
The original painting would be Italian, mid 1500s, and part of a very large series of oil paintings of famous people of History produced by Cristofano del'Altissimo for the Medici Dukes.
While some of the paintings in the series were based on known portraits by earlier artists, many of them were simply imagined by the painter. This is unlikely to be based on a real portrait.

The original painting would be Italian, mid 1500s,(?) El rey chico de Granada was born in 1459. This man seems to be a bit older than 9 years!--Koppchen (talk) 16:30, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The source of the engraving could be from "Monumentos Arquitectónicos de España" publication by Aureliano Fernández-Guerra y Orbe (Granada, 1816 - Madrid, 7 de September de 1894). As mentioned in "Los Salones de Madrid / por Monte-Cristo; con láminas fotográficas de Franzen ; [prólogo de Emilia Pardo Bazán]-- Madrid : El Álbum Nacional, 1898" Page 106.
The original painting itself was part of the collection of the Count Anatoly Nikolayevich Demidov, 1st Prince of San Donato (24 March 1813 – 29 April 1870).
The painting from witch the engraving was done, sold as lot 203, on the auction of "COLLECTIONS DE SAN DONATO", in Paris by 1870, when described as Spanish School, 15th century. It was bought at that auction by Juan Quiñones de León y Santalla, Marquis of San Carlos. Actually on a private collection. 83.41.6.19 15:45, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
