This flag is based on a hypothesis - it is not correct

WJ Chater hypothesised the existence of this flag, and this file is a representation of that hypothesis. But WJ Chater was wrong and we have information from the creator of the flag wikipedia:James Brooke that proves it is wrong. If you got your information from Chang Pat Foh he is a Tertiary source who copied WJ Chater's theory from the Sarawak Gazette or his book Sarawak Long Ago.

This file should be based on the flag James Brooke drew and described in March 1849 as described at wikipedia:Flag of Sarawak

Here is a photostat of the letter - and James Brooke's drawing of the flag. The picture is in black and white, but he describes it in the letter.
