I was trying to use this graph to check the data I had got directly from
the NOAA website and there looks to be a 50 year difference.
So the first data point on your graph looks to be at about 1904 but I think
it should be about 1854.
The cover page for the NOAA data states (or it used to) that the
baseline it is derived from the year 2000 but I e-mailed them and it is
from 1950.
Your graph title states Before Present (1950) correctly but I believe the
data used to make the graph is baselined from the year 2000.
I did a quick search and found someone else discussing the comparison
between the GISP2 data and the GRIP data and the last data point used in
that GISP2 data was 1854.
