Who's the actual author of this engraving?[edit]

The infobox of this image identifies the author as Spanish engraver Sebastián de Covarrubias, but the Los Angeles County Museum of Art says the author is Dutch engraver Jacob Matham. I can't read nearly enough Spanish to make head or tails of the site provided as a source, but the image seems to come from a gallery of illustrations that are all by different people, and the name under the Envy image is "Goltzius", which was the name of Matham's mentor. Can anyone shed some light on this? Ford MF (talk) 08:13, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You know, the more I look at it, the more I am convinced that it is in fact a Matham, and it was uploaded with an erroneous author because of the website who hosted the image in the first place. This engraving looks exactly like the rest of Matham's series of Vices from the late 16th cent. I'm going to go ahead and change the author, and if anyone pops up saying "No way, that looks EXACTLY like a Covarrubias", we can talk about it then. Ford MF (talk) 08:17, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
