My son and I were kind of perplexed about this portrait; it's the only "sad" portrait of all the presidents in the bunch. So we studied and wondered why. When we zoomed in for a closer look at the features of this portrait, we came to realize that he had the expression of someone that did not want to hear whoever was talking to him had to say. It is almost as if he was ashamed, and discontempt. We believe this portrait of President Kennedy does righteousness on his behalf. For us as a nation, to let such a great man perish so easily, he would be ashamed and feeling sorrow for our souls.
