The identifications are not correct. The one that is supposed to be the Emperor Ferdinand I, looks reasonably smaller than what is supposed that is Maria Leopoldina, when in fact the advantage in almost four years. On the other hand, Maria Luisa and Maria Leopoldina were separated by five years, while in this portrait is very similar in age. In fact, in this painting the two eldest sons, Fernando and Maria Luisa, are missing. My identification would be from left to right.

Joseph Franz Leopold (1799-1807)

Franz Karl (1802-1878)

Francis II (1768-1835)

María Ana (1804-1858)

Maria Carolina (1801-1832)

María Teresa (1772-1807)

Maria Clementina (1798-1881) and

Maria Leopoldina (1797-1826)

The date of the work would be 1806-7. Probably it was finished after the death of the Empress and that of her son Joseph Franz. Or it may be that Archduchess Maria Ana was added later. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.77.248.210 (talk) 14:10, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
