This map is a disgrace[edit]

This map's sole purpose is to paint the USA as an eco-villain - to paint the whole world except the USA as working together to realize the Kyoto Protocol targets and, by implication, to save the world from foo.

It is extremely misleading. Only 36 territories in the vast area painted green on this map were required to promise, when signing up to Kyoto, to meet binding CO2-reduction targets; most of the 36 will not meet their targets; almost all of the signing-but-given-no-target territories painted green on this map have increased their CO2 emissions since they signed the Kyoto Protocol; some or many or - most likely - most of those green-painted signing-but-given-no-target participators will have increased their emissions faster than the non-signing, no-target, non-participating evil red empire that is the USA.

This map is black propaganda of the most simple and obvious kind. Its continued use in any Wikimedia outlet reflects badly on the Wikimedia project. It should be deleted at once.

I thenk you.

(As someone who was fitted up and banned for life from most of Wikimedia, I know how things work around here and I don't expect the right thing to be done. Just registering a protest. Just in case things ever change. You never know.)
