This map is WRONG. The canary islands are located west of the middle of Maroc, not Spain or Gibraltar. --Afrank99 09:18, 12 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I reverted the map to one that shows more of Europe and properly puts the islands off the coast of Africa. The trouble is that the previous map showed only Spain with the islands as an inset, but it wasn't clear that the islands were an inset, and an inset is of no use in showing where things are. It's like a map of the United States showing Alaska and Hawaii where Mexico really is. It's not uncommon, but it's of no use for figuring out where Hawaii is. The user who changed the map said it had some Gamma issues making it appear different on different browsers. Perhaps someone else can address that issue while retaining the necessary information. -- Ke4roh 00:41, 28 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
