Speedy deletion contested[edit]
I am contesting the speedy deletion. The tag applied here states "It appears to have been sloppily modified from the source image. (Note that the motto here is misspelled as FORTIS AST VERITAS instead of the correct FORTIS EST VERITAS.)" and that the source is http://www.civicheraldry.co.uk/oxford.JPG
The image was recently transferred from English Wikipedia, where it previously survived a deletion discussion, see en:Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files/2009 October 3#File:Oxford COA.gif. I see no evidence that Commons:Coats of Arms#Accepted on Commons has changed in the intervening 21 months. --Redrose64 (talk) 14:11, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
