Improper License[edit]

There are two problems with the license cited on this image. First, no U.S. license is applied, despite the fact that the current template specifies that one should be. More glaringly, the license that is invoked is not applicable here and will not be until 6 March 2052 (life of the author plus 70 years). I am inclined to recommend the image for deletion unless an adequate free use rationale can be found. Wilford Nusser (talk) 10:55, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If by 2052 being "life of the author plus 70 years" you are referring to the death date of Ayn Rand, then that's not the right person to be thinking about. Rand wrote the text inside the book, but this is an image of the cover, which was created by someone else. If the cover was published without attribution to the artist, then the person who tagged the image was probably thinking about the rule described in Template:PD-Russia, which says the work is public domain "if this work was originally published anonymously or under the pseudonym before January 1, 1943 and the name of the author did not become known during 70 years after publication". --RL0919 (talk) 23:52, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
