"going to throw" is very poor English expression. Just "throwing a grenade" would be fine, because that is what the action entails, even though it isn't leaving his hand this second. "about to throw...." would be alright.

Photo looks fake

What's the context behind this picture? Where is it supposed to be happening? It looks like a staged photo to me. Notice the man's arm is not motion blurred. He is posing for the picture to be taken, which is also consistent with his rather nonchalant expression for a man in a battlefield conflict. Also the background smoke seemed to have been created using some sort of prop canister. This is not a man preparing to throw a grenade but somehow pretending to be preparing to show a grenade. 146.155.21.158 22:51, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
