Would it be correct to say that this is the *divergent section* of a rocket nozzle ? I had a bit of an epiphany reading this article - understanding that up to the 'throat' of this nozzle the flow accelerates in a converging section (makes sense) - and is further accelerated (supersonically) in this bit.
It never made any sense to me that rocket nozzels were cone shaped (this way)
