As noted on en:Talk:Catherine of Saxe-Lauenburg, the lettering on the painting must have been added much later. This cannot be Catherine. But that does not mean that it must be Sophia. The museum's site says "Unknown woman called Sophia, 1547-1611, princess of Sweden, duchess of Saxe-Lauenburg". /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 20:40, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
