Bear Creek or Clear Creek?

[edit]

A creek is shown flowing from the Rockies down to join the South Platte just north of Denver. It's labeled as 'Bear Creek' — should it actually be 'Clear Creek'?

According to its Wikipedia article, Bear Creek joins the Platte just *south* of Denver (upstream of the Cherry Creek confluence); whereas Clear Creek joins a bit north (downstream) of Cherry Creek. Obviously 'Bear Creek' might be a common name used by more than one stream, but my hunch (given that Clear Creek is important, history-rich, and well-known) is that this is simply a mis-label. You're right, I have fixed the error. Thanks for catching that. Shannon1 02:20, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
