This picture appears in the second edition of the book "Concrete Mathematics: A foundation for Computer Science", by Ronald L. Graham, Donald E. Knuth and Oren Patashnik, published 1994 by Addison-Wesley and has a copyright over the whole content of the book banning any use of it. How can one make sure that this image in Wikimedia Commons has been given a public license? The license information here gives even details of the camera with which this picture was taken...in 2004!
