Rename the file[edit]
Can this file please be renamed as it is most probably not a picture of the Benin Empire's flag (or coat of arms for that matter)? The Royal Museums Greenwich website that the description links to describes the flag as most probably being of Itsekiri origin and the current file name has caused years of unnecessary confusion in the Kingdom of Benin Wikipedia page. A new file name like "West African Flag" or "Unidentified West African Flag" would be more in line with what reputable sources have already labelled it. I would even be in favour of something more specific like "Unidentified Flag Found in Benin". Regardless, the current name is very misleading. @Catherine Laurence and Orange Tuesday:
