The citation for this illustration is incorrect. The illustrators first and middle names are reversed. It was created by Charles William Jefferys. The citation also states that it is from, The Picture Gallery of Canadian History Vol. 1. This illustration does not appear in that book, nor does it appear in vols. 2 or 3, for that matter. The correct citation is: C. W. Jefferys, “The fight of Grand Pre, February 11, 1747,” from The land of Evangeline: Nova Scotia, annotated guide, by Parker (Cambridge, Mass., University Press, 1925), p. 48.
