English: The Johannisthal Air Field was Germany's first airfield, located 15 km southeast of Berlin-Mitte, between Johannisthal and Adlershof. It opened on 26 September 1909, a few weeks after the world's first airfield at Rheims, France. It was closed officially in 1995.
