English: Joseph-Adolphe-Alexandre Walcher, known as Walter (20 October 1810 – ?), French sculptor, born in Paris, studied with Corot at the Académie des Beaux-Arts, exhibited at the Salon from 1840 to 1849, created portrait busts of the composers Monteverdi, Durante, Jomelli, Monsigny, Grétry, and Sacchini for the southeast facade of the Palais Garnier, as well as the twelve heads surmounting the bull's eye windows surrounding the auditorium drum.
