Tuberculosis hospitals
(Redirected from Sanatoria)
English: In English, a sanatorium (also sanitorium, sanitarium) or convalescent home is a medical facility for long-term illness, typically tuberculosis. A distinction is sometimes made between a "sanitarium" (a kind of health resort) and a "sanatorium" (a hospital). Most sanatoriums were demolished when tuberculosis no longer presented a major public health threat.
