Ceiling over the marble Tomb of Hafez, northern edge of the city of Shiraz, Iran. The mausoleum is dedicated to Khwāja Shams-ud-Dīn Muḥammad Ḥāfeẓ-e Shīrāzī (1325/6-1389/90), better known as Hafez, one of the most important poets in the country history. The mauselum is situated in the Musalla Gardens and was built in 1935 according to a design of French architect and archaeologist André Godard, are at the site of previous structures, the best-known of which was built in 1773.
