UG Wikimedia no Brasil (UGWB) is a Brazilian group formed by active members of the Wikimedia movement in Brazil that aims at the strengthening of the Brazilian Wikimedia community and the promotion of and participation in projects that the Wikimedia Foundation hosts. UG Wikimedia in Brazil is formed mostly by long time users with solid contributions to Wikimedia projects, including stewards and projects administrators, university professors participating in the Education Program, free-knowledge activists, and people who have dedicated and devote their time to build a "world in which every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge". That's what we're doing!!!

Partners[edit]

The UGWB has its own column within ARede, one of the largest organizations to promote studies on and renewed practices associated to education and technology in Brazil. Official partnership letter.
UGWB systematically supports the wiki initiative promoted by NeuroMat, a research center dedicated to integrating mathematical modeling and theoretical neuroscience. Official partnership letter.
Since 2014, the UGWB has supported the Faculdade Cásper Líbero Wikipedia Education Program, in one of the best school of communications science in Brazil
Since 2016, the UGWB has established a formal partnership with Open Knowledge Brasil, to share resources and promote common projects.
Since 2016, the UGWB has launched a GLAM initiative with the University of São Paulo Museum of Veterinary Anatomy, featured as a case study on Outreach Wikimedia
The UGWB has sustained a GLAM initiative with University of São Paulo Museum of Mathematics, in order to develop what has been called a wiki-museum, uploading images, educational resources and improving associated content.
