Billy Hathorn wears many hats: historian, photographer, educator, traveler, swimmer, Texan, Louisianian, Arkansan, Kentuckian. He was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana, but never lived there. He was reared in Minden, Louisiana, and resided in Laredo, Texas, from 1988 to 2015, when he moved to San Antonio. He has a wife, two daughters, a son-in-law, and three grandchildren, plus a brother and a nephew. Sadly his mother died on August 26, 2007.
