Deutsch: Die evangelische Kreuzkirche (auch Leutekirche genannt, da sie v.a. Laien diente) in Neuzelle (Sorbisch: Nowa Cala), Mark Brandenburg, gehört und dient einer Gemeinde der unierten Evangelischen Kirche Berlin-Brandenburg-Schlesische Oberlausitz. Die Kirche wurde 1354 als Pfortenkapelle St. Ägidius erbaut und 1728 - 1735 spätbarock umgebaut und vergrößert. Bis zur Aufhebung 1817 gehörte sie zum katholischen Stift Neuzelle (Latein: Nova Cella) und wurde 1818 der evangelischen Gemeinde übergeben, die die katholische Barockeinrichtung erhielt.
English: The Holy Cross Church (also Folks Church, since it prevailingly served as place of worship for Catholic laymen) in Neuzelle (Sorbian: Nowa Cala), Brandenburg, Germany, is owned and used by a congregation within the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia, a united Protestant church body of Calvinist, Lutheran and united congregations. The Church was built in 1354, then named Gate Church of St. Giles, it was reshapen and enlarged in late baroque style between 1728 and 1735. It was part of the monastery of Neuzelle (Latin: Nova Cella) until its dissolution by the Prussian government in 1817. The church was handed over to the Protestant congregation in Neuzelle in 1818, which preserved the Catholic interior design.
