Summary[edit]

Description
English: An illustration for the concept of boundary layer velocity thickness (that where the velocity is 99% of the free-stream velocity) and for the displacement thickness (that which corresponds to the deflection of streamlines generated by the boundary layer). Both thicknesses are a function of distance along the solid wall.
