I only use Commons to upload files needed to support my contributions at the English Wikipedia, so there's no point keeping a profile here. See my English Wikipedia userpage.
Licences[edit]
As a rule of thumb, what I put on Commons is released into the public domain. This isn't out of any ideological aversion to copyright (I'm a cold, heartless capitalist) or any bashful refusal to take credit for my own work (I'm a glory-obsessed, egotistical narcissist). It's because it's just easier that way.
Similarly, I dislike viral copyright licences, aka 'copyleft'. From time to time, I'll be forced to add an image under GFDL, but it's a pain in the neck. Viral copyright should not be allowed on Commons any more than standard copyright is. Keep it simple by keeping it public.
