Antonis has a true passion for birdwatching and bird-photography. He has traveled all over the world, to countries such as Costa Rica, Peru, Canada, the UDA, Iceland, Norway, UK, Lithuania, Portugal, the Netherlands, and Cyprus. He has also been almost all around Greece, photographing birds and discovering ideal spots to shoot, in a constant search for the perfect “click” into the Mediterranean landscape.

He regularly participates in wildlife photography competitions, where he has been distinguished many times; his photographs are published in various magazines, as well as in his personal social media pages where he has thousands of followers.

Antonis has a particular preference for all Warblers, and especially the Sardinian Warbler, one of the most characteristic birds of Greece and the Mediterranean. He cherishes every moment he finds himself in nature, but the tropical forests of the Amazon in Peru, as well as the wanderings on the glaciers of Iceland, hold a special place in his heart.

Since 2012, Antonis has been a member of the Hellenic Ornithological Society; he is fluent in English as a result of living in the UK and the Netherlands for some time. He leads a Business Development department of a major insurance company.

Antonis was the one who originally had the idea for creating “Birding in Greece” (www.birdingingreece.gr), a company that exclusively organizes birding tours in Greece.
