A few facts about me - my name is Daniel and I have been running a Dive Center called Poseidon and a Marine Life Conservation and protection organization in Ao Nang, Thailand for the past 14 years.
I've 23 years of experience in teaching Scuba Diving, Underwater Photography and Videography, Marine Biology and Marine Life Conservation.
I'm open for work so if you are looking for an experienced Dive Instructor / Course Director with a huge knowledge of Marine Life Conservation a multiple award winning Photo- and Videographer with great educational skills send me an email. In order to give you a picture of the diversity of my work, I would like to briefly introduce you to a few of our environmental protection projects.
- I have had great success in the project of coral propagation (restoration and reconstruction of coral reefs). Since 2014 I’m an instructor for coral reforestation and so over 2000 new coral were planted. For this I received an award from the organizations of Ocean Quest and Sea Shepherd Dive.
- Organization preparation and implementation of underwater-cleanup dives. Every month we collect over 500 kg of garbage from the ocean floor.
- Construction and setting of permanent anchor buoys so that boats no longer throw their own anchors into the reef and thereby destroy corals.
- We train science diver in marine biology, shark protection, coral propagation and cleanup dives.
All our Projects are financed through the income of the Dive Center due to Donations are non-existing!
In order to reach a broader population to make them aware of the beauty but also of the fragile Marine life ecosystem, I work with growing success with the presence of social media, video and photography.
Our shark protection projects are close to our hearts. In addition to systematic education of the population, the counting and identification of sharks is part of the ongoing program to protect biodiversity. Here photography is used to create databases.
One of my pictures of a Zebra shark (Stegostoma fasciatum) can be seen on the cover picture at deepblu.com and thus helps to raise public awareness of these important animals.
