I am an herpetologist with over 30 years experience of tropical fieldwork and over 50 years of maintaining reptiles in captivity.

I am also a keen photographer who spends a great deal of time photographing reptiles, amphibians and venomous invertebrates encountered in the field as well as captive specimens and museum specimens. Photography is for me an important method of documenting herpetofaunas. I am the author of five books of reptiles and numerous papers and articles.
