Pictish-Mithraism is the term used by the author Norman J Penny for a topic which shows the purpose of the symbols on so-called Pictish Symbol Stones and a belief set based on Roman Mithraism and practiced in North East Scotland between around 400 and 900 CE. Sketches of symbols are being published on Wiki Commons with a full article currently being finalised for Wikipedia. Pamphlets on the subject are available in many museums in Scotland and books are available from the author. The Wiki Commons material can be used by other authors but attribution to either Pictish-Mithraism or Norman J Penny would be appreciated.
