Samtaber (Bengali: সামতাবেড়) or Samta (Bengali: সামতা) is a village and a gram panchayat in the Howrah district of the Indian state of West Bengal. Situated on the banks of the Rupnarayan River, Samtaber is neighboured by Mellock to its south and Panitras to its north. It is connected by National Highway 16 to Bagnan, Kolaghat, and the state capital, Kolkata. The nearby Deulti railway station connects Samtaber to the Howrah railway station.
