The Taiga is a biome covering most of inland Norway, Sweden, Finland, northern Kazakhstan, Russia (especially Siberia), Canada, as well as parts of the extreme northern continental United States (including Alaska). In Canada, "boreal forest" is the term used to refer to the southern part of this biome.
