The most important languages are Mandarin Chinese (list traditional before simplified since this is Taiwan) and English. After that is Japanese because the NPM website has a Japanese website and because of Japanese's status on Taiwan: some very old Taiwanese know Japanese better than Mandarin and because of the continued ties with the former colonial power.
