Robert Brumter's family gave to Wikimédia France approximately 30 000 reversal film photos to be published on Wikimedia Commons under a free license. Those files will illustrate the encyclopedia Wikipedia and could be re-used by anyone.

The professor of history and geography Robert Brumter (1926-2008) traveled all over the world between 1950 and 2000 by taking thousands of photographs and document conscientiously each slide.

This project will help us to fill a gap. Wikimedia Commons lacks illustrations between the end of World War II and the massive spread of digital cameras.
