La Bibliothèque de l'État du Queensland est la plus grande des bibliothèques de cette région administrative de l'Australie.
En , cette institution a remis à Wikimedia Commons 50 000 images relevant du domaine public avec les métadonnées correspondantes .
Chacune de ces images comporte un titre qui doit être utilisé pour associer à celle-ci une ou plusieurs catégories Commons existantes. Les légendes doivent être traduites en français pour les utilisateurs francophones.
Les images ont été rangées par l'automate SLQbot (requêtes à formuler) dans la catégorie Images from the State Library of Queensland.
