One of the objectives of a VI is an image that is suitable for illustrating articles. This ruled out most of the panoramic views of the tapestry as they were too long and narrow. Also, by choosing a comparitively short section of the tapestry, I could illustrate the detail better. I also looked for the most significant event depicted in the tapestry. In my view, this was the death of Harold II. I therefore chose this particular image as the best representation of the tapestry. -- Martinvl (talk)
