Reason | Existing images were pitifully small. The monument is by the side of the Liverpool to Manchester railway lines owned by Network Rail and thus effectively fenced off. The best strategy is to shoot from the field opposite, but due to trees obstructing the direct frontal view, an angled view is the only possibility and this one includes a view of the commemorative tablet inside the memorial. The railway has overhead power lines but I suggest in this view they are the least obtrusive. -- Rodhullandemu (talk) |
