Русский: На этот раз мы пройдёмся по нечётной стороне улицы Гончарова.
В доме под номером 9 сегодня находится главпочтамт. Его смело можно назвать украшением Ульяновска. Первоначально здание принадлежало Симбирской губернской земской управе. Земцам хотелось вырваться за рамки провинциальности, поэтому подключили к работе столичных проектировщиков. В 1902 году конкурс на проект провело Петербургское общество архитекторов. Выиграл конкурс выпускник Высшего художественного училища Академии художеств Александр Иванович Дмитриев – будущий академик архитектуры. Его работа была признана лучшей из 11 представленных. Весной 1903 года началось строительство здания Симбирской губернской земской управы под наблюдением симбирского архитектора Виктора Людвиговича Ивановского. В 1904 году Ивановский сделал ещё и проект кованого металлического забора к зданию земства по Большой Саратовской улице, который, к счастью, сохранился до наших дней, даже бетонные столбы не пострадали. |
